Becoming active on the board of the Comox Valley Women’s Business Network or one of its committees is a win-win endeavour – you get great experience and exposure for your business, and the WBN remains a vibrant and relevant organization for its members.
We’re always looking for members to help with the various committees and jobs during meetings. If you’re looking for ways to get more involved and meet more people within the WBN and in the Comox Valley then participating with the WBN is a great place to start.
We have opportunities to help with the running of events at each meeting – so introduce yourself to a board member and let her know that you’re willing to help out!
If you’re thinking about running for a board position in the future, here are some things you should know:
- To run for the elections, you must be a member in good standing for a minimum of three months
- The board meets monthly for 1 – 1.5 hours and committees meet several times a year
- Elections are held annually at the May meeting
