May Reimer is a Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) and is presently the Acting Employment and Education Coordinator for the Comox Military Family Resource Centre. May has over 16+ years of experience in the social services sector and has worked as a manager/director for 8 years. As a Career/Employment Advisor she has proven successes with a varied clientele including, Military Spouses, Youth, Persons with Disabilities, Addictions, Mental Health, Minorities, Low Income, Aboriginal Groups, Behavioural Challenges, and Disenfranchised populations. She has an entrepreneurial side: a self-starter May assisted with organizing the Job Action Team, a Non Profit Employment Centre, in her community. May conveys a passion for life and all its challenges in everything she does. She's part of the mission to end Breast Cancer having participated in four 60 KM Walks to End Cancer and is one of the top fundraisers for the 5 KM Run for The Cure. As a newcomer to the Comox Valley she decided she also needed to enjoy activities associated with water so she became a Dragon Boat participant. May is now working very hard to 'Become One Paddle' with the Dragon Flies here in the Valley. May's philosophy: I Truly Believe - We Never Walk this Journey Alone - There are Angels Among Us
