 Chelsea Bell

Chelsea Bell is the Account Manager of the Telus Open Connection store in Courtenay, which provides cellular, Internet and TV solutions for home and business. Chelsea started in the cellular industry in 2004 -- the era of blue screen flip phones with polyphonic ringtones, running cheetahs, and turning windmill animations! Her favourite part of what she does is the learning the ever-changing technology. “It’s like a never-ending puzzle that I get to solve,” she says with a laugh. “Meeting new people and chatting with them all day is a great way to earn a living!" As well as being a certified Apple Master, Chelsea was the recipient of the 2016 and 2017 President's Club Gold award for top sales. Open Connection is definitely your ‘one stop shop’ for TELUS services and a good chat.

Carol Elliot

Carol Elliot is the creative mind behind a sewing business called 12 Yellow Aprons. She and her husband moved to the Comox Valley so she could paint. Along with her paintbrushes, she brought her entrepreneurial spirit and knowledge of niche marketing. She tells us that she never seems to have time to paint, however, because her real passion is business start-ups. After each venture is up and running smoothly, and/or it out-grows being home-based, she sells and moves on. Approximately 18 months ago she saw the door of opportunity open. She explains that the door had her name written in big bold letters.  It said; “Come – this is where you belong now!” At the March meeting, Carol will share her new work world with us.
