In keeping with the Comox Valley Women’s Business Network’s philosophy about supporting member’s growth and development, the WBN offers an annual bursary valued up to $500. This bursary is offered to encourage and support any Comox Valley Women’s Business Network member who wishes to enhance her current skills and assist in her professional development.
The bursary must be used for a course must be from an accredited institution, professionally recognized group or association. The member must not have been awarded the bursary in the previous two years or at the Board’s discretion. In addition, the following criteria apply:
- You must be a member of the Comox Valley Women’s Business Network in good standing for a minimum of one year
- You must be willing and prepared to participate fully in the bursary application process
- You must be willing to demonstrate in writing the benefit of receiving this bursary and the impact it has/will have in your work/business
- You must be willing to do a small presentation to the general membership of your learning as a result of the bursary
