Transitioning from a corporate role in a sprawling corporation to the realm of entrepreneurship has been a thrilling yet nerve-wracking journey for me. Surprisingly, the entrepreneurial path, though laden with the weight of designing the business's destiny, has proven to be less stressful than the rigid confines of a corporate setting. The freedom to shape the future comes hand in hand with the responsibility for both the triumphs and tribulations of the venture.

In 2014, my husband and I made a life-altering decision to embark on an entrepreneurial adventure in agriculture. Fueled by our shared upbringing in the idyllic setting of family farms, we envisioned a similar life for our daughters and their families. Opting for the wine industry infused our journey with a sense of tranquility, as there's an inherent relaxation that accompanies the enjoyment of wine.

Now, with a decade of experience under our belts, we often field inquiries about whether we would have pursued this path had we known the challenges awaiting us. The honest answer is that the prospect might have been too daunting. Yet, here we are, deeply in love with what we do, grateful for the leap of faith that brought us to this point.

The most rewarding aspect of our tenure at 40 Knots is the privilege of witnessing and contributing to the most celebrated moments in people's lives.
