Mary is a PR practitioner by profession and recently received a certification with the Doula Training Centre as a Menopause Doula, also known as a Women’s Health Support Practitioner. Yes, there’s a doula for that!

With a passion for serving and empowering women, Mary specializes in guiding individuals through the transformative journey of menopause.

Her approach involves education and empowerment, providing client's with the knowledge to take charge of your health decisions. Through personalized coaching, Mary helps clients create a symptom management strategy. The goal is to enhance the menopause experience by enabling clients to make informed choices about their body and well-being.

In addition to her role as a Menopause Doula,, Mary provides medical appointment companionship. Navigating the medical recommendations during the menopausal transition can be daunting, and Mary can offer support in talking to medical doctors ensuring you never feel alone or confused.

What sets Mary apart is the universal, feminine approach embedded in the term "emme elle." This phrase, phonetically representing her initials, symbolizes her commitment to supporting women through this universally feminine phase of their lives.

Mary’s journey into menopause support is rooted in personal experience. From being an avid athlete and fitness trainer in her 20s and 30s to evolving into a yoga instructor in her 40s and early 50s, Mary’s transition to a menopause doula career was a seamless progression. A pivotal moment at age 46, marked by a concussion and subsequent hormone fluctuations, led Mary to discover hormonal health through nutrition, exercise, sleep and stress management. Applying these principles to her own perimenopause experience yielded positive results, and she shares these insights and education to empower others on their menopausal journey.

Mary recently joined forces with the Menopause Expert Group (MEG) to bring menopause advocacy to the workforce through workshops and “lunch and learn” sessions. She is also the host of the podcast, All Things Menopausal, a platform for guest experts in the field of hormone health and women’s wellness to share knowledge and experiences that are real, raw and relatable to the midlife transition.
